Walter Mosley is the author of 14 critically acclaimed books that have been translated into 21 languages. He has won many honors, including the American Library Association's Literary Award for R.L.'s Dream.

Scott Turow is an attorney and the award-winning author of many mysteries including The Burden of Proof and Reversible Errors. A graduate of Amherst College and Harvard Law School, he was an Assistant United States Attorney is Chicago from 1978 to 1986 and remains a practicing attorney today. Though his practice centers on white-collar criminal litigation, he devotes substantial time to pro bono work.

John Darnton, the New York Times associate editor for special projects, is a Pulitzer-prize winning reporter and best-selling novelist who has worked for the Times for 36 years.
