Michael Oreskes, is assistant managing editor and director of electronic news at the New York Times. Previously, he was Washington bureau chief from 1997 to 2000. During his time there, members of the bureau won three Pulitzer Prizes. From their perspectives of working for presidents and working to cover presidents, this panel offers a lively discussion about presidents and the press. Gergen talks about how the White House deals with the press, Klein explains why the press has gotten so cynical and why it is bad for government and Pelosi argues that it is in a journalist's and network's own interest to avoid confrontations with politicians.
